Herbicides are split into the categories of pre- and post-emergent. Pre-emergent is for stopping weed seeds from sprouting and post-emergent is for killing weeds that already exist.

The following is a list of herbicides that we carry at Meador's Garden Center & Landscaping. If there is something you are looking for that is not listed, please let us know so we can see about carrying it for you.

Pre-Emergent Weed Control

Pre-emergent herbicides prevent the germination of seeds by inhibiting a key enzyme. Therefore, it is best to apply pre-emergents at the beginning of a season, as the weather change awakens the seed of that particular season’s weeds. Call us or do some research online before buying and applying before you are catching at the right window.

Call or come in to confirm that we currently have what you desire in stock. The following is a list of pre-emergent herbicides that we carry. If there is something you are looking for that is not listed, please let us know so we can see about carrying it for you.

Post-Emergent Weed Control

Post-emergents are used on existing weeds. They are often classified based off whether they kill grassy weeds, broadleaf weeds or both. It’s a good idea to take a picture of the plant(s) you are wanting to kill so we can help you find the right herbicide.
